Aufgrund von Hochwasser sind in den Rocky Mountains aktuell viele Straßen gesperrt. Freunde die dort unterwegs waren, waren regelrecht eingesperrt.
Several roads in Banff National Park are closed to to flooding, washouts or debris on the road.
The biggest one is the Trans-Canada Highway, east-bound from Golden to the Banff East Gate. It remains closed.
The following roads are also closed:
Minnewanka Loop Road north of the Banff townsite.
The Sunshine Village Access Road, due to flooding and bank erosion.
Highway 93 South to Radium, B.C., due to washouts and debris on the road.
Highway North, the Icefields Parkway, to the Saskatchewan Crossing, due to water and debris on the highway.
There is no estimated time of re-opening for any of these roads, according to parks staff.
